Lights Out: Pride, Delusion, and the Fall of General Electric

Thomas Gryta · ★★★★☆ · 368 pages · 2020

Great history of how GE started its long decline since the Jack Welch era. I suppose a lot of it comes down to having a business that is too complex for anyone to understand, too Industry focused versus comparative advantage focused, and hubris thinking you are better than others and not taking outside ideas. The book stops in the middle of 2020 so a year before the split that was recently announced dismantling the GE we know.
