O Arjuna!
As the ignorant men work with attachment to action,
so should the wise act without attachment,
for the welfare of the world. -Bhagavad Gita 3:25
They alone live, who live for others, the rest are more dead than alive. -Swami Vivekananda
Therefore to make a great future India, the whole secret lies in organization, accumulation of power, co-ordination of wills. -Swami Vivekananda.
I am Abhi Yerra. At the core of what I do are three things:
- sangh (Business Unit). Build organizations that had a common mission and a specific focus. Primarily focused around Organization.
- sakha (Business). Build individual businesses within a sangh that contributes to the mission of the sangh. Primarily focused around Process Management.
- sevaka (Worker). Hire and train sevakas (workers) to work within the sakhas and help them grow: Physically, Emotionally, Intellectually, Spiritually. Primarily focused around People Development.
How these operate together depends on the context of the sangh as each business/project has a different purpose and mission which leads to a different structure. But at the core of these things are three prime principles:
- Continuous Improvement. I am not a goal oriented person, I am a systems oriented person. When you build systems you start with a crappy, basic system and continuously improve it over time. This applies to everything in life. I find that the journey of continuous improvement is more fulfilling than the end goal. Lastly, continuous improvement optimizes for action over inaction.
- Standardized Processes. Systems are built on processes. Good processes lead to predictable outcomes. Every sangh, sakha, and sevaka have standardized processes that are followed. These processes are continuously improved over time and then optimized for the optimized outcome.
- Removing Waste. In every system there is waste. Waste of time, money, energy, resources. This waste usually results in inefficiencies, stress, a loss of quality, and most of all a loss of a settled, content mind. So I root out waste in every system I build to ensure that my team and I are working and doing things that truly matter. By removing waste, quality is also improved, and quality leads to a settled, content mind.
I apply these three principles to every single aspect of my life including the following:
- abhi&corrie. My Family
- JnanaPress. Strength through Dharma. My Spiritual Practice.
- Yerra Capital. Value Investing with AI
- opsZero. Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps
- SattvaSurya Traders. Indian Import-Exports
